Our Review

The Lost Children pulls together b-sides and rarities and makes for a relatively coherent collection while the group takes time off. “Hell” is as convincing as anything in the Chicago metal band’s catalog, trudging with purpose. “A Welcome Burden” adds funky elements to the attack. “Old Friend” has the kind of catchy chorus that would make it a perfect concert anthem and, according to singer David Draiman, was inspired by the TV show Dexter. “Leave It Alone” adds to the group’s collection of beautifully somber melodies. “Mine” and “3” are previously unreleased and worth the attention. Disturbed’s covers of Faith No More’s “Midlife Crisis” (maybe more truthful to the group’s situation than ever) and Judas Priest’s “Living After Midnight” are straight-up treatments that prove the band’s dedication to the loud ‘n’ proud. From one of the 2000s’ most successful hard rock bands, this is a cliffhanger. Stay tuned.

The Lost Children (5 stars)
For everyone who doesn't know, "The Lost Children" is a collection of B-Sides from all their albums (except for the brand-new "Mine" track) and they threw them together into a collection. It all sounds great, I personally love it, "Mine" is fast and aggressive, it's a definite buy for any disturbed fan.

Decent (4 stars)
The truth is if this album would have been released like 10 years ago this would easily be topping the charts. The fact of the matter is Disturbed has been around for a long time now as has this genre of nu-metal and they now tend to sound kinda bland....again rewind 10 years and this album is perfect. The way I see it...this sure beats most other crap out there today so I'll buy this album and enjoy it for what it is...an album full of pure

i know that its a b-side album, but... (3 stars)
It's still not up to par with their older work. I'm not just gonna give it 5 stars cause its a b-side, i'm going to rate it for the music. And the songs on here, in general, are not of Indestructible, 10,000 Fists, or Believe quality, (i wasn't a fan of Asylum at all). There is a reason most of these songs did not make the cut for their original albums.

Heavy metal band Disturbed came together through the matching of a band with a singer. Longtime friends Dan Donegan (guitar), Mike Wengren (drums), and Fuzz (bass) played together in Chicago for some time before hooking up with singer David Draiman around 1997. Draiman had grown up in a religious family against which he rebelled, being expelled from five boarding schools in his adolescence. His anger found an outlet in the thrashing sound of Disturbed, and the band built up a following on Chicago's...
