I think that it's GREAT (5 stars)
To me, it just goes to show you the talent that Johnny Cash truely had. Not only could he write songs that appeal to teens and adults, he could write songs that little kids would enjoy. The songs, to me, seem a little silly, but that's what appeals to the kids. Plus we must remember this was in the '70s. My 4 year old and 16 month old love these songs. I must add that my children are often dancing to his music anyway. My 4 year old freq

IT'S FOR KIDS! (5 stars)
Don't buy it and complain about the lyrics. The title should lower the expectations for lyrical content! I think it's a great alternative to the wiggles and doodlebops for my kids. Take it from me you'll be able to put up with Cash much longer than the purple dinasour or 4 guys in colored shirts.

My 2.5 YO loves it (5 stars)
My son was hooked when I told him daddy likes Johnny Cash. This album really has grown on me. He immediately calms down when I start playing this album in the car. I particulary like the ABCD song (track 14) and the silly story about fire engines are red (track 15) and of course Nasty Dan (track 1). I even like the throw back sentimentality of Miss Tara (track 5) and Grandfather's clock (track 13). I only skip a couple tracks when we listen
