Our Review

Rascal Flatts don’t come from the hell-raising side of country — their turf is decidedly family-friendly. That said, they still manage to get a little steamy and break a few hearts, as Still Feels Good (2007) demonstrates. On this album, tracks like “Take Me There” and “No Reins” transcend regional references to create an All-American mood of romantic affirmation and self-empowerment. As before, the harmonies are the main attraction, with Gary LeVox’s lead vocals blending seamlessly with those of Joe Don Rooney and Jay DeMarcus. There are also a few new wrinkles in evidence, such as the Big & Rich-like “Bob That Head,” a groove-driven celebration of big truck love. Among the more reflective tunes, “It’s Not Supposed To Go Like That” stands out for its telling glimpses of bad choices and fatal mistakes. LeVox delivers his most sultry performance on “She Goes All The Way,” featuring a surprising walk-on by Jamie Foxx. Pedal Steel and banjo add down-home accents to the smoothly-arranged, guitar-centered sound. Still Feels Good lives up to its title — rather than making any radical departures, the band mostly sticks to the familiar and reaps the anticipated rewards of doing so.

Not even midnight and it's here already! Yay!! Take Me There: We've all heard it on the radio and it's still great! Here: Wow. That's all I can say...WOW! Bob That Head: Definitely my new jam! So cheesy! Help Me Remember: Takes a few listens before it really sticks. Still Feels Good: Sometimes title tracks aren't great, but this one takes the cake. Winner At a Losing Game: A song about what we've all been through! No Reins: I think this is t

Still Feels Good, I'd Say It Feels Great (5 stars)
You will have to forgive me. For the most part, I am a novice in country music. I know probably a total of 5 country singers, and they are not really a reach for many people to know. However, even I know enough about country music to be a fan of Rascal Flatts. One thing I am surprised about is the lack of hype leading up to the release about their newest album, Still Feels Good. Most people were not even aware of their new album, and I

Yes their back and Oh Yea, it Still Feels Good. (5 stars)
Here is the breakdown on the most anticipated country album this year. 1. Take me there. A awesome song. Should be the number one song on I tunes. If you are going to buy a song from this album, buy this one. It is unbelievable good. 2. Here. Another great song. A song about how your heart got to where it is today. That you wouldn’t change a thing. Awesome chores. 3. Bob That Head. One of my favorite songs on this album. It has a a

A country trio known primarily for its pleasing harmony and Grammy-winning songcraft, Rascal Flatts are comprised of Gary LeVox, Jay Demarcus, and Joe Don Rooney. Cousins Demarcus and LeVox grew up in Columbus, Ohio, a town Demarcus eventually left in 1992 to pursue a music career in Nashville. Meanwhile, LeVox pursued his own musical success with a Christian group; at the behest of his cousin, however, he also relocated to Nashville toward the decade's end. Although LeVox quickly found work as the...
