Let me tell you why this will be the best Trivium album so far. Matt Heafy is not afraid to do what he wants with his vocals. He believes that screaming is easy and singing is hard and that he always goes for what is harder. I believe working with David on the last album helped his vocal ability tremendously and he is now capitalizing and utilizing it in the trademark powerful choruses that Trivium always provides. A bit worried…. (3 stars)
I've loved Trivium since Ascendancy, personally I thought Shogun and In Waves were masterpieces and listened to them both religiously….when Vengeance Falls was released, I was initially turned off, it was not their sound but very 'disturbed' influenced. That said, that album grew on me and there are some great songs on it, including one of my all time favorites, "Incineration: The Broken World".

Why so many good reviews? (1 star)
This song sounds nothing like the band, even less then the last album. In my opion, Trivium was the top band in their genre when they were doing stuff like Shogun, etc... Hell even the in waves album. But this is not them. I am going with a low rating for now, but the people who rated the 5 or 4 stars, do not know this band.

Hailing from central Florida, Trivium formed in 2000 and quickly built a buzz around Orlando's metal community with their blend of metalcore, thrash, and progressive metal. Having secured a contract with the German imprint Lifeforce, the band issued its debut album, Ember to Inferno, in October 2003 with a lineup that included vocalist/guitarist Matt Heafy, drummer Travis Smith, and bassist Brent Young.
