While Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Three Six Mafia had traded accusations of creative theft in the early Nineties, Bone started the feud in earnest by calling Memphis a “bunk-ass town” in the February 1995 issue of Vibe. Several Memphis rappers retaliated with dis tracks, but none garnered more attention than Live By Yo Rep, released in the wake of Three 6 Mafia’s debut Mystic Stylez. “Triple 6 Mafia” and “Throw Yo Setts In Da Air” are blinding examples of the Mafia’s fearsome production ethos, while Koopsta Knicca’s “Slippin’” is impressive for its pitch-perfect imitation of the Bone Thugs style. But “Live By Yo Rep” is the clear centerpiece. Every member of the Mafia posse takes a turn describing in detail how they would burn, torture, or dismember their adversaries. However, only Lord Infamous mentions the Bone members by name, and his riff gives you an idea of the level of seriousness: “See we can't tolerate no sissy that is Layzie / Broke out the blender and I made some Krayzie gravy.” The track is more an excuse to explore Three 6 Mafia’s love of splatter movie imagery than it is a crippling missive to Bone, but “Live By Yo Rep” remains one of Southern rap’s most memorable dis songs.

Get the old Three 6 Mafia back (5 stars)
This album is old, but it's sooooooo great. I love this album. Be a Witness is the best song. There's no worst song because all the songs are good. Mafia for life.

Real 3-6 Fans Only (5 stars)
If you are newbie to 3-6 then you probably won't get it; however, if you are a true fan of the Mafia and you have been with them BEFORE the Oscars then you will love this album (probably already own it). It is pretty short, but "Tear Da Club Up" is the first and realest club banger! Where would Lil Jon be if he did not bite this idea? Nowhere! This album is grimy/gully and if you are not into that then you probably will not be

Old school mid 90s Memphis Rap is epidemized by the under ground albums of Three 6 Mafia. This is their oldest album on ITunes and old Three 6 Mafia just can't Be Beaten
