My rating applies only to the original versions (5 stars)
The remixes are totally unnecessary. But the song itself (the radio mix and the original mix) is masterful- i haven't heard such a well written melody line in a very, very long time. It matches the intensity and hesitation of the lyrics dead on, while the instrumental theme dunces along, pretty much saying "Stuff it with the drama" to the singer, who knows that these affairs of the heart are all just nonsense to distract us from th

Gotye (pronounced "go-ti-yay" or "Gauthier") is the alias of Australian electronic pop trickster Wally de Backer. Born in Belgium and raised in Melbourne, de Backer began making music in his bedroom as a teen, and for several years fronted the rock band Downstares. After the group dissolved, he gravitated toward cut-and-paste electronic music, and in 2003 issued the first Gotye album, Boardface.
