I always find myself wishing this album was a little more solid than it is, but once in a while it scratches the appropriate itch. Great guitar tones, stellar drumming.

BEST ALBUM I EVER PURCHASED (5 stars)
listening to one of the songs got me to listen to all of the other ones. Now, THERE IS NOT ONE SONG ON THIS ALBUM I DON'T LIKE. Even though it came out a decade ago, i think it's way better than that overplayed trash you hear on the radio EVERYDAY. Godsmack made me thier biggest fan!!!!


Good Album (5 stars)
Godsmack are to Alice in Chains what Bush were to Nirvana. They're a bit of a knock-off who are still very much good enough to be worth a listen. They put out a lot of good songs and at least 3 pretty great albums and there is no particular reason to begrudge the similarities. The Boston-based alternative metal group Godsmack were originally comprised of vocalist Sully Erna (a devout Wiccan), guitarist Tony Rambola, bassist Robbie Merrill, and drummer Tommy Stewart. After debuting in 1997 with All Wound Up, Godsmack signed with Universal, which in 1998 reissued the LP as a self-titled effort with a handful of new tracks; at that point Stewart — who'd left the group in mid-1997 and was replaced by drummer Joe d'Arco — returned to the lineup on a permanent basis....
