Since I'm just waiting around for this album to be released, I've written this review to say that I have no idea what it will be like.

I've had the distinct pleasure of listening to the full album. Depression Cherry, is not depressing, nor does it disappoint. As one can tell from the single "Sparks" there are a few tracks that have an unexpected, but absolutely well implemented edge to them. Despite its summery name, Beach House creates music that is dark, dreamy, and alluringly hypnotic. Baltimore residents Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand (the niece of French composer Michel Legrand) formed the duo in 2005, with Legrand's hushed, Nico-like vocals and Scally's delicate instrumentation paving the way for their first batch of songs.
