Janet's most underrated album (5 stars)
Released after the infamous Superbowl controversy, this album suffered needlessly from the resulting negative publicity. It's the perfect example of how people overreact to the simplest things, being so merciless and prudish as to refuse to hear anything that claims it was an accident, and how this is bad only because of that incident.

Hidden gem (5 stars)
Damita Jo neared 4 million in sales and received a Grammy nomination yet most people don't know about it. It's a shame because this is one of Janet's very best albums. Don't consider buying the album, JUST BUY IT ALREADY!

Underrated and overshadowed by the 'Wardrobe Malfunction' (4 stars)
If only 'Island Life' had been the lead single and not 'Just a Little While. 'Island Life', produced by Cathy Dennis (Kylie 'Can't Get You Out of My Head'), is a real grower and an ideal pop track for spring break and summer. The more I listen to it, the more I think it could have been a huge hit. 'All Nite' and 'I Want You' are other clear standouts, but the general standard is quite strong here. I would only cut out the songs 'Warmth' and
