BTNHRESURRECTION – Bone Thugs-n-HarmonyView More By Bone Thugs-n-Harmony Our ReviewThe final effort to feature all five members before Flesh-N-Bone was incarcerated on charges of assault with a deadly weapon. BTNHRESURRECTION has been unfairly overlooked by fans and critics. These 16 tracks prove that the essence of Bone isn’t necessarily smooth harmonies, but emotional intensity. The struggle between good and evil is the predominant theme as the group explores evil, rage and redemption on “Show ‘Em,” “The Righteous Ones” and “Battlezone.” These songs presage a period of turmoil between the group and Bizzy Bone, who provides emotional fireworks at every turn. The album’s MVPs, however, are Krayzie Bone (check out his astonishing verse on “Battlezone”) and the soon-to-be-departed Flesh, who bids goodbye on “Don’t Worry”: “Everything finna be alright / Off to the door so bright like a knight in shining armor / Hug my wife my sons my daughter / Ain't no more reason to even bother.” The poignant “Change the World” might best summarize the group’s state of mind, but for that old smooth, intoxicating Bone sound, longtime fans should check out “Weed Song,” “Ecstasy” and “Resurrection (Paper, Paper).”.
