Great transitional album! (5 stars)
This is an album you listen from start to finish. Every song leads to the next giving you a sense of dread and disparity. Listen to this when you are down and want to fall even deeper into the abyss. This will be your soundtrack for that adventure. This was also Depeche Modes transition from an uptempo synth pop band to a more a slow brooding synth pop band. Love this record.

Depeche Mode In All Their Moody Glory! (5 stars)
Today is April 4, 2012 and this album has suddenly popped into 'My Alerts'. Who knows why? At any rate, this 1980s classic has such seminal tunes as Black Celebration, A Question of Time, Stripped and But Not Tonight. If you wonder where some of today's artists got their influences, listen to this album, and you will see that Depeche Mode stood for more than just 'Fast Fashion'. It also meant trailblazing music.
