This was our introduction to one of the BADDEST sangers to ever rip it.Strong soaring gospel- crafted vocals over urban dance pop.Its classic 80's and classic Whitney.

A well-deserved reissue, remastered with TLC, only minor omissions (4 stars)
Like many, this was also my first album (cassette at that time) and between Whitney's voice and the strong song selection it remains a solid and enjoyable experience for the pop music listener. The album's remastering is pristine and the five bonus audio tracks are nice additions that were previously only available on vinyl, a Japan-issued remix EP, and a Europe-exclusive "All The Man That I Need" CD-single. Has it really been 25 years?!? (5 stars)
I feel old now. I remember getting this on tape when I was 5 and listening to it until it broke. This album made me the Whitney fan I am today. It's full of classic ballads and crazy uptempos. The extras on this are great! You have to watch the live performances - they will blow you away!
