Toby Keith: 35 Biggest Hits – Toby KeithView More By Toby Keith Our ReviewNot only do you get 35 of Toby Keith's biggest hits from five different record labels all in one collection, but all the songs here are sequenced chronologically letting you hear how the man's music has evolved from his mullet headed era of 1993's "Should've Been A Cowboy" to 2008's "She's A Hottie." Songs from 2007's Big Dog Daddy are absent due to legal contractual complications, so you'll just have to imagine that "High Maintenance Woman" is playing second to last. But other than that one little snafu, it's truly interesting to hear how he's gone from an aspiring balladeer ("He Ain't Worth Missing" and "A Woman's Touch") to a pot stirring outlaw ("Beer For My Horses" and "Get Drunk And Be Somebody"). The controversial smash hit, 2002's "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)" was his point of departure, and where many performers have faded after being thrust into the limelight, Keith took the opportunity to step things up, hit his stride as a songwriter, and record the kinds of songs that keep us on our toes.. Customer ReviewsWow (5 stars)What a lineup of songs on this cd. Starting with his first #1 single, Should've Been a Cowboy (simply a classic song) all the way, in chronological order, all the way up to his new single, She's A Hottie. Just an amazing line-up of songs. A Must-Buy If you don't like country... And as for only red state Bush lovers listening to his music, Toby is a lifelong Democrat but why are his politics even mentioned in a review of this album? He simply makes good music that most country fans have loved for years. If you don't have any or much of h Finally! (5 stars) With a great number of hits under his belt, it was difficult to track them all down, but this CD compiles them very nicely. Great price for 35 great songs. BiographyBorn: July 08, 1961 in Clinton, OKGenre: Country Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s Toby Keith spent the '90s as a solid, workmanlike country star who met with considerable chart success, yet never quite broke free of the neo-traditionalist pack to become a household name like Garth Brooks or Alan Jackson. That all changed in 2002 when he recorded "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)," a response to September 11 that became one of country's most highly charged political statements since Merle Haggard's "Okie from Muskogee." The media furor ensured that even...
