Completing country-hunk Tim McGraw's Greatest Hits trilogy with a compilation that offers no new recordings was a bit risky and maybe even somewhat off-putting to his more ardent fans — that is until they realize Greatest Hits, Vol. 3 offers up a few bona fide gems. McGraw's cameo on the inspirational Tracy Lawrence song "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" is a welcome addition, as is the exceptional live version of "Real Good Man." The rest of Greatest Hits, Vol. 3 overflows with undeniably catchy hits that are all sequenced to play like the soundtrack to a biopic of McGraw's musical life (how 'bout it, Hollywood?). "Back When" sets the tone with a honky-tonking, new traditional song that rocks and rolls around a pedal steel as McGraw sings nostalgically about the innocence of bygone times in the 20th century. Conversely, "Angry All The Time" is a loving duet with his wife that offers some refreshing and realistic insight into McGraw's marriage with country star Faith Hill. If "Nine Lives" makes you want to don cheetah-print spandex and tease your hair, this could be because the song is a rare recorded moment in music history where McGraw briefly fronted Def Leppard.

I read that Tim McGraw objected to Curb Records releasing this CD and Tim McGraw actually has a new album in the wings he has been working on and was ready to release until Curb released this. People should not buy this album if for no other reason then to Support Tim McGraw and send a message to record labels that they can't keep charing people for the same stuff just in a different box. I love Tim McGraw. I'm 15 years old and I love country, ESPECIALLY Tim McGraw. Honestly I LOVE every song on this cd, that's why these are the Greatest hits. This cd is worth every penny. I suggest you buy it because you won't regret it.

Good songs but.. (2 stars)
what artist really needs to release this many greatest hits. Only like 2 of these songs were greatest hits. I love every song on the album but come on. A few more years and he'll be on Greatest Hits 20. Good lord
