When i first heard this cd i was like why oh why would they do such a thing, but after listening a few times i like it. It's diffrent and i think a lot of fans dont like it off the bat cause THEY CANT ADAPT TO CHANGE. Its a cool twist on the originals. Give It A Chance (5 stars) Yeah, this is not the Bon Jovi hair metal most fans are used to. The band took the songs from the 80s and 90s and gave them a modern day twist. And a lot of it is good. It proves that the songwriting still holds up today. It ain't the hair metal you remember and love, but it is good just the same. Give it a chance. After a few listens, you may find yourself humming Wanted Dead or Alive in an entirely different style. Different, Bon Jovi shows diverse talent (4 stars) While I generally agree these are not as good as the original rock cuts of most of these songs there are a few that really shine. "You Give Love a Bad Name" is a great acoustic song and done with a deep driving bluesy melody that really makes you wonder why the original didn't go more like this in the first place (even if not electrically so).
