What a long barrel ride it's been (5 stars)
Easy 5 stars. I loved this release from way back when it came out and it's still my favorite album these guys have put out. I'm glad to see Itunes finally put it on here!

Feel the bass go through your body (5 stars)
Man this cd is sooo good i can put it in my stereo an not take it out till a month later. My favorites are "Castles of Sand", "Ese Loco", "Living Dread"-the bass is bumpin good on this one, "Hands of Time", "I'm So Stoned", "Roots Rip", "Crazy Riff", "SLIGHTLY STOOPID"- i love this song its one of my favorites, "Mr.Music", "Jedi", "Violen

I can't believe it's been 10 years since this CD came out! Slightly Stoopid has grown so much since their younger days. I love this CD, and i'm glad they still play songs from it at their shows. They finally played castles made of sand at their last show for the encore!!

Slightly Stoopid's Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald were signed to Sublime mastermind Brad Nowell's Skunk imprint while still in high school, and did two albums for the label, Slightly Stoopid in 1996 and Longest Barrel Ride two years later. While the sound back then was SoCal skatepunk influenced by thrash elements and copious amounts of weed, Doughty and McDonald's playing and singing had matured considerably by 2001 and Live & Direct: Acoustic Roots.
