Love Rob Thomas.. (3 stars)
Matchbox Twenty is one of my favorite bands, and consequently Rob is one of my favorite artists. His album Something to Be was great. He had that special, almost bluesy rock sound that was so unique to him. This album sounds like everybody else to me. I hate to be a negative critic, especially on someone I am a huge fan of. Rob Thomas has an incredible, one-of-a-kind voice, and I feel like the music on this album doesn’t reflect that. Mayb

Matchbox Twenty is better ! (2 stars)
This is the second or third album solo, and i don't like it. Rob Thomas try to make these pop songs with nothing of rock or something similar what he does on matchbox, that it's amazing, but maybe not so popular on these days...It's a great songwriter, i understand that A LOT of bands of rock are doing the same MISTAKE, putting to much eletronic effects on songs and turning very pop...I really don't like to watch a great artist on concerts

Great expectations (5 stars)
It’s been quite awhile since the release of Cradlesong (2009), and now, just about 6 years later, the wait is finally over. It’s quite obvious that Rob’s sound has changed in this time, but change, especially here, is definitely for the better. He has truly redefined himself, and this album is going to be quite amazing!

Genre: Pop
Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

As the lead singer and principal songwriter for Matchbox Twenty, Rob Thomas found success with a blend of '70s rock influences, slick hooks, and '90s post-grunge crunch. The Florida-based band broke through in 1996 with "Push" and never looked back, issuing single after single, scoring hits in various radio formats, and watching their debut LP, Yourself or Someone Like You, go platinum 12 times over in the U.S. Thomas himself won numerous songwriting awards as the scribe...
