A Truly Great Album (5 stars)
A title like 'The Dictionary of Soul' might seem a bit presumptuous, but Otis Redding is one of the few artists who can get away with it. While it's not as masterful as 'Otis Blue', it's still a magnificent album, featuring some of his best ballads, especially his fervent buildup reworking of the standard 'Try a Little Tenderness'. Along with 'Otis Blue' and 'In Person at the Whiskey-a-Go-Go', this album belongs in any soul or R&B coll
