Plans – Death Cab for CutieView More By Death Cab for Cutie Our ReviewWith a growing indie-rock fan base that included O.C. character Seth Cohen, Death Cab for Cutie finally moved up to a major label with Plans, their fifth full-length release. It’s both the modestly forward-looking effort past listeners would have expected and a bold leap forward. Ben Gibbard again sings for those with aching hearts, a bit puzzled about where they find their young lives going, but this time from a more resolutely grown-up position. Like R.E.M. before them, Death Cab is building an impressive catalog from diverse blocks that click into place nicely.. Customer ReviewsOne of the best albums i've heard in a while (5 stars)Before this album, i had no clue who Death Cab for Cutie was. Someone from school gave me this album and said i would like it. Now, i'm a huge fan. This album embodies all aspects of a ggreat album, great lyrics, beautiful music, and a heart put right into everything. I've listened to this album alot so i know what i'm saying. Marching Bands of Manhattan: What a pefect way to start this album. Builds with a slow guitar and nice lyrics and t Bittersweet and beautiful. (4 stars) This album is worth buying for Marching Bands of Manhattan, Soul Meets Body and Brothers on a Hotel Bed alone - these are phenomenal songs I still love after years of listening. Seriously, buy these songs immediately. That being said, I do like many of the other songs, but they just aren't on heavy rotation for me, and others are just too bleak to listen to unless it's a really rainy winter day and I'm in the mood for it. That could be just great album!!! (5 stars) this is such an amazing album, definitely worth buying!!! my favorite song on it is I Will Follow You Into The Dark, i cry every time i hear it, it's so beautiful. Taking a break from his local power pop band, Pinwheel, Gibbard began recording an album's worth of solo material during the summer...
