Brilliant, but slightly less so... (5 stars)
With his solo career successfully launched, Peter decided next to work with the man whose very name was synonymous with progressive rock: Robert Fripp (the King Crimson leader had been dying to work with Gabriel for years). Listening Is Required... (4 stars)
This seems like a Gabriel Genesis album to me. Listening is required...there are no immediate pop songs available as you may hear on 3 or SO, but each time I listen to "Scratch" I hear something new...probably has something to do with Robert Fripp's influence. "DIY", "Perspective" and "One-Way World" are the short energetic listens here, but "On the Air," "Mother of Violence", &qu

The weakest of Peter Gabriel's eponymous albums..."Flotsam and Jetsam" and "Home Sweet Home" are interesting. Other than that, it is mortal.
