Immortal Masterpiece (5 stars)
I am not going to write a "review," because any efforts to compare this work to anything is an exercise in futility. When this album came out in 1989, it blew open a sonic inventory that hadn't ever really been heard before. 20 years later, it still stands out as a masterwork of composition, production, and engineering. This entire CD was the soul of my life for now over 20 years, I found this to be one of the greatest musical mater pieces in the world and it stands still to this day by itself

Absolutely Original (5 stars)
It's hard to imagine a soundtrack getting any better. "The Last Temptation of Christ" was an unnecessarily controversial movie--all those protestors carrying signs and they hadn't even seen it--so this soundtrack was largely overlooked. Peter Gabriel's songs and lyrics are some of the most detailed, soulful, and introspective experiences. For this soundtrack, Gabriel assembles acoustic and electronic sounds from across the globe
