how the previous reviews have likened this to 1980s rock... It IS 1980s rock. This is early Shania. This is way before Shania Twain existed. She would have been known as Eileen at this point. This is another compilation of her early demos and discs released by independent labels. This is a must own.

I’m in love with Shania, but this album is a complete deviation from her previous work. It almost feels like an experiment. The album has a 1980’s rock and roll vibe to it. I can almost compare it to the 80’s female rock group “Heart”. The best thing about “On the Way” is Shania’s voice. She sings those hi and long notes great, and with a lot of feeling . This album was NOT released AFTER all of her famous-making country work! This is from 1999!!!!!! Pay attention... Now, I like these songs. Even in her early days, it shows her versatility.
