Born To Rock (5 stars)
Among the mess of music that was released in 2002, Papa Roach produced a beauty. The tracks flow so perfectly together it's as if they were one long song. For many years, rock songs were just rock songs but on "Code of Energy" this is an anthem lending it's hand back to a time where progressive rock ruled all. If you love guitar riffs, great beats, and powerfull lyrics, check out Lovehatetragedy...originally titled, Born To Rock

When i first heard Papa Roach, it was their hit "scars," i never really thought much about them, but then i looked them up, and listened to the top few downloaded songs, and soon i had bought a lot of songs. Songs i recommend are : Last Resort, Be Free, She Loves Me Not, and my most played song on itunes, Done With You.

"M-80 (Explosive Energy Movement)" is the best Papa Roach song ever! Real Papa Roach fans know what I'm talking about, not ones who think that "Scars" is their best song or that Getting Away With Murder is thier first album (DUH!). The rest of the disc is OK, not as good as Infest. BTW, this review was written by a rocker, for rockers.

Starting out as a punk- and rap-influenced band, the northern Californian group Papa Roach eventually grew into a straight-ahead hard rock ensemble with strong heavy metal leanings. Consisting of Coby Dick, Jerry Horton, Dave Buckner, and Tobin Esperance, Papa Roach formed in 1993 and began releasing EPs soon after, including 1994's Potatoes for Christmas and 1995's C**a Bonita.
