Live Those Songs Again – Kenny ChesneyView More By Kenny Chesney Our ReviewAny true Kenny Chesney fan understands that his recorded music differs from his live concerts. In the studio, Chesney has more freedom to roam and muse on the meditative subjects that form the foundation of his deeper ballads, beachy twang ditties, and well crafted country rockers. But in a wide open live setting the man puts on explosively fun engagements that sell out stadiums and leave fans screaming for more, and this live album was culled from recordings that span half a decade of epic arena rocking nights. The roar of the audience is edited and segued (without sounding canned) to give the impression that all of these songs were recorded from one evening, making for a wonderfully imaginary concert of back-to-back powerhouse performances. "Live Those Songs" ignites the album with an explosive insta-hit, leaning so heavily on 1980s AOR production and instrumentation that it's easy to understand why Bon Jovi went country on 2007's Lost Highway. Uncle Kracker shows up for a cameo duet on a lackadaisical, daiquiri swilling version of "When The Sun Goes Down," serving to remind us that the next best invention to the iPod is the hammock.. Customer ReviewsMy Favorite! (5 stars)This is Kenny Chesney's best album because it seems to have more emotion and energy in it than on his recordings. very few artists can record a live album that sounds better than the original songs but Kenny Chesney seems to have pulled it off quite well. Get it, you won't regret it! (5 stars) I wasn't sure if I wanted to get this live album since I already had all the songs from previous albums but, I'm glad I did. The songs sound awesome and are a lot more rockin' live! There's a few songs where the crowd joins in and it reminds me of his concert--I guess it will hold me over until I can hear him live again! Besides, buying this album is equal to what? a couple margaritas?!?! MAN OF COUNTRY (5 stars) This CD Is A Fantastic Cd That He Has Put Out If U Like Kenny Chesney You'll Like This Cd I Promise U That I Bought This First Day When It Came Out & I Enjoy It Alot BiographyBorn: March 26, 1968 in Knoxville, TNGenre: Country Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s Contemporary country star Kenny Chesney didn't have the immediate breakout success that many of his peers enjoyed upon signing with major labels, but gradually built up a significant following via hard work, pop-friendly ballads, and a likable, average-guy persona. Chesney was born in Knoxville, TN, in 1968 and raised in the nearby small town of Luttrell, better known as the home of Chet Atkins. He grew up listening to both country and rock & roll, but didn't get serious about music until college,...
