Long, long ago I lost my high school sweetheart. We were in love, I thought. I entered the Navy right out of HS. During recruit training I received the, gasp!, "Dear John" letter. Actually my name was Jim. However, I was deeply crushed. Anyway, I served 2 years, 9 months & 16 days before I was discharged in San Diego, CA. on 3/08/60.
