Juke Box Heroes – ForeignerView More By Foreigner Our ReviewThis album is part of the deluxe 2011 Feels Like the First Time issue that also includes the Acoustique: The Classics Unplugged album and the video concert Live in Chicago. This collection is a re-recording of Foreigner’s greatest hits with new singer Kelly Hansen, bassist Jeff Pilson, multi-instrumentalist Tom Gimbel, keyboardist Michael Bluestein, drummer Mark Schulman and original Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones. The songs have been meticulously performed and given the extra sonic boost that modern recording techniques allow. Fact is, Hansen fills Lou Gramm’s immense shoes admirably. It’s hard, if not impossible, to tell them apart. The performances of “Long, Long Way From Home,” “Hot Blooded,” “Head Games” and other established classics are so close to the original spirit that it isn’t unusual for people to think these are remixed versions of the originals. They’re that close. This album also features the brand new song “Save Me,” which was co-written by Jones’ stepdaughter Samantha Ronson.. Customer ReviewsGreat album (5 stars)All songs in this album are great! New album? (5 stars) When they say 100% remastered they wernt kidding!! It sounds like a new album! It sounds so much different! Def worth getting! UnMastered (1 star) This is definitely not a remastered selection of hit songs from Foreigner. These are horrible remakes with Kelly Hansen on vocals. Why would anyone want to touch on these classic songs. I love that Kelly Hansen is moving this great band forward into the future but no-one can replace these songs that Lou Gramm once made popular. Foreigner's leader from the beginning has been British guitarist Mick Jones, who first broke into the music biz as a "hired gun" of sorts, appearing on recordings by George Harrison and Peter Frampton, and as part of a later-day version of hard rockers...
