It's Blitz! – Yeah Yeah YeahsView More By Yeah Yeah Yeahs Our ReviewYeah Yeah Yeahs’ billowing cloud of avant-rock is invaded here by a clutch of disco synths, exploring new areas of tempo, personality and atmosphere for this New York art-punk trio. Guitarist Nick Zinner steers the course with imaginative guitar work, drummer Brian Chase probably hasn’t had this much fun drumming on a record before, and singer Karen O wraps herself in electrical-taped chiffon for disco drag-outs “Zero,” “Heads Will Roll” and “Dragon Queen.” Production from David Sitek (TV On the Radio) and Nick Launay ensure It’s Blitz! is a contemporary affair.. Customer ReviewsYeah Yeah Yeahs are true Rockstars! (5 stars)The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are most likely one of the greatest modern rock bands. They are constantly changing their sound. I own every song they have ever put out and can instantly determine which song is playing within the first few seconds. That is how inventive and unique they are. No two songs ever sounds the same or similar. And this album is no different. This album is packed with formless boring ballads and songs better suited to the Killers than a band that understands rock like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs used to. There are some tiny glimpses of the band that was in s BiographyFormed: 2000 in New York, NYGenre: Alternative Years Active: '00s, '10s Discovered in the wake of the Strokes' popularity and the subsequent garage rock revival, New York's art punk trio the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are comprised of singer Karen O, guitarist Nicolas Zinner, and drummer Brian Chase. Zinner and O formed the band in 2000; originally, they were a folky duo called Unitard, but they went electric...
