Issues – KornView More By Korn Our ReviewTo avoid treading water Korn once again switched producers for their fourth album. With Issues producer Brendan O’Brien, best known for his work with Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, and Rage Against the Machine, helps to emphasize Korn’s latent but liquid sense of funk. The quieter rhythmic passages in “Somebody Someone,” “Wake Up,” and “Beg for Me” are even reminiscent of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. However the album is not defined by its groovy chops but by its crushing choruses. Issues delivers some of the band’s most furious chants to date, including “Trash” and “Let’s Get This Party Started.” Even better are “Falling Away from Me,” “Make Me Bad,” and “Counting,” which actually reveal hummable melodies under layers of down-tuned, corrosive sludge. The short interludes scattered throughout Issues are disposable, save for “Dead,” an abstract hymn tinged with bagpipes that serves as the perfect prelude to the band’s torrential expulsions.. Customer ReviewsHonestly, My favorite album. (5 stars)KoRn has always been a band to sound their own and create barriers seperating them from their peers, but this album almost seperates korn from korn. Eery sounds, slow, dark, and almost meloncholic riffs, tearing and seering guitars, Beautifully written lyrics, and harmonic voice almost crying out. The album that stands here is truly one of the most unique albums. This album landed koRn at the Apollo, and won the ears of everyone there. Songs Dark, Creepy, Amazing. (5 stars) This is one of Korn's better cd's. I will attempt to rate the songs according to how I liked them. Every song on this cd is good. Dead: intro song, not bad, 7/10 Falling away from me: Dark, Creepy song, i loved it. 10/10 Trash: Good song, good rythm. 9/10 4u: not really a song, but still good sauce. 7/10 Beg for me: eerie song, starts slow, gets loud and fast. 9/10 make me bad: of course one of the best on the cd 10/10 It's gonna go away: g Korn Rocks (5 stars) Probably one of the best Korn albums. I really liked this album, listened to it like 3 times in two days. My favorite songs are Trash, Falling Away from Me, Make Me Bad, Dead, Hey Daddy and Somebody Someone. Great album! GET IT! BiographyFormed: 1992 in Bakersfield, CAGenre: Rock Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s Korn's cathartic alternative metal sound positioned the group among the most popular and provocative to emerge during the post-grunge era. Korn began their existence as the Bakersfield, California-based metal band LAPD, which included guitarists James "Munky" Shaffer and Brian "Head" Welch, bassist Reginald "Fieldy Snuts" Arvizu, and drummer David Silveria. After issuing an LP, the members of LAPD in 1993 crossed paths with Jonathan Davis, a mortuary science student moonlighting...
