Invincible – Michael JacksonView More By Michael Jackson Our ReviewThough he was in the thick of scandals, health problems and financial strife, Michael Jackson still cranked out one heck of an album with 2001’s Invincible, though it would take a few years of fermentation for it to be realized as such. And despite the inevitable comparisons to his triptych of epics (Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad), Invincible stands apart as the King Of Pop found his footing within the dawning of a new millennium. Speaking of footing, we often forget that Jackson’s innovative dance moves were as much a part of him as were his songs and Invincible is a dance-based album sporadically peppered with the kinds of heart-strung ballads that only Jackson could record. “Unbreakable” opens with cold attitude and a hard hip-hop beat featuring a posthumous cameo by Biggie Smalls. The amorous “Break of Dawn” blends organic sounds with a moving midtempo strut and a chorus that floats on harmonies. Jackson gets more into Stevie Wonder’s head than Jamiroquai on the soulful “Butterflies” but it’s the mechanically funky “2000 Watts” that could easily lure listeners to the dance floor.. Customer ReviewsUnappreciated Excellence (5 stars)Unappreciated excellence. I have been a fan for 40 years. This albumn like "Blood is on the Dancefloor" was ignored because it was cool to dislike him at the time. When Motown chief B. Gordy first heard him sing at 8 years old "Who's Lovin You" he said at the time that it was pure genious to be able to sing the blues with such emotion and feel before he was even old enough or mature enough to understand. Perhaps it was fo It didn't BOMB! (4 stars) Regardless of all the spin(and blatant lies) you may have heard about how much of a commercial failure this album was, fact is it still sold over 7 million albums worldwide. That makes it a platinum selling record 7 TIMES OVER!! I'd give it 5 stars, but there are a few tracks on here that are a little too sappy for my own taste. However, this is still a STRONG album. Songs like 'Butterflies' and 'Whatever Happens' are reminiscent of "O The best voice ever...! (5 stars) no matter what people say about MJ, I don't care because i dont even keep up with all that crap but he has the most amazing voice ever!!! BiographyBorn: August 29, 1958 in Gary, INGenre: Pop Years Active: '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s Michael Jackson was unquestionably the biggest pop star of the '80s, and certainly one of the most popular recording artists of all time. In his prime, Jackson was an unstoppable juggernaut, possessed of all the tools to dominate the charts seemingly at will: an instantly identifiable voice, eye-popping dance moves, stunning musical versatility, and loads of sheer star power. His 1982 blockbuster Thriller became the biggest-selling album of all time (probably his best-known accomplishment), and he...
