These guys are growing (5 stars)
They’ve been outstanding since they were The Jakes and have continued to find their sound. Progressively they are becoming one of the better alternative bands out there and have been nothing but consistent from the very beginning. Love this band and will continue to love them until they give me a reason not to, which at this point seems unlikely.

Listening to Titus Was Born on a super revealing high-end stereo and it's undeniably one of the best recordings I have ever heard. I'm probably the only Young the Giant fan who didn't really like Mind Over Matter all that much, but the first two singles off this album have me very optimistic and excited!

Formerly known as the Jakes, Young the Giant began making eclectic indie rock in Irvine, California, where bandmates Sameer Gadhia (vocals), Jacob Tilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar), Payam Doostzadeh (bass), and François Comtois (drummer) all met each other during high school. Following graduation, the guys ditched their respective bands and formed their own outfit, drawing upon their European and Middle Eastern roots to forge a worldly, summery sound.
