Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album, Vol. 2 – Glee CastView More By Glee Cast Our ReviewAll those merrymakers and fans of the Glee cast who couldn’t get enough of 2010’s collection of yuletide carols are in for a sweet stocking stuffer. Vol. 2 plays like the party never ended. Mercedes (Amber Riley) shows off her dynamic range on an amazingly sung version of Mariah Carey’s 1994 tune “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” Naya Rivera’s character Santana keeps “Santa Baby” sounding saucy and classy. Of the standard covers, Darren Criss (Blaine) and Chris Colfer (Kurt) deliver a standout duet with a similarly swinging approach involving some jazzy scat-singing. This time around, the cast delivers a few original Christmas tunes: the indie rock –tinged “Extraordinary Merry Christmas” and “Christmas Eve with You,” a romantic piano-based serenade trimmed in gorgeous male/female close harmonies. Lovers of all things '80s are sure to squeal like Cyndi Lauper after hearing the cast take on Band Aid’s 1984 famine relief hit “Do They Know It’s Christmas?”. Customer ReviewsChristmas Glee style! I love it soo much!!!!:) Yayyyyyy (5 stars) People saying there's not enough Lea...kinda the point. BiographyFormed: 2009 in Hollywood, CAGenre: Pop Years Active: '00s, '10s When Glee aired its first episode in May 2009, the TV show only attracted a fraction of the viewers who tuned in for American Idol, which was shown on the same channel just one hour prior. The numbers looked bleak, but Billboard's music charts told a different story the following week, when the Glee version of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" became a Top Five hit. Performed during the pilot by the castmates themselves, the song eventually sold...
