Follow the Leader – KornView More By Korn Our ReviewFollow the Leader marks the apex of Nu Metal, a millennial strain of aggressive modern rock for which Korn basically wrote the blueprint. Korn’s first two albums were produced by Ross Robinson, but for Follow the Leader the band decided to collaborate with Toby Wright and Steve Thompson, who had worked with Metallica, Slayer, and Alice In Chains. Wright and Thompson bring a brighter, sharper sheen to Korn’s sound, which helped make huge hits out of “Freak On a Leash” and “Got the Life.” “It’s On!,” “Dead Bodies Everywhere” and “B.B.K.” have an all-encompassing hugeness that transfers Korn from the club to the stadium. Even as they refine the riff-mongering that made them heroes, the band continues to find new formats for its metallic assault. “Children of the Korn” is a rumbling, semi-industrial beat that pulls Ice Cube into the fold, while “All In the Family” (featuring Fred Durst) and “Cameltosis” (featuring Tre Hardson, of the Pharcyde) explore the band’s well-documented love of funk and hip-hop.. Customer ReviewsNeeds The 12 tracks of silence (5 stars)In my opinion 2nd best KoRn album after the first. Its On!- 5/5 this song makes me want to fight someone even though thats not what its about Freak On A Leash- 4/5 AMAZING SONG believe me but for me not the best on the album ...if youre just gettin into KoRn get this song Got The Life - 4/5 same as Freak on a Leash Dead Bodies Everywhere-3/5 Okay song .....alotta better ones though Children Of the KoRn- 2/5 ....if it didnt have ice cube on Finally! Great album! (5 stars) Finally iTunes got this album! What took so long? Anyway, this album is pretty great. this really captures the old Korn sound, which I think was the best. The new stuff was also pretty great, but the old was the best. What's cool about this album is that even though there are some lame songs the overall level I rate a 4 star. But with the songs Got the Life and Freak on a Leash, this album is a classic. The song Pretty is really intense. Lis DESERVED ORIGINAL TRACK LISTING! 13 (5 stars) c'mon this masterpiece derserved to have its tracks listed original starting at #13! ahaha but apple loves making things clean and pretty. even all the new listeners who are getting everything by korn can access the hidden Ear-ache My Eye easier.
