This is an unusual collection. As opposed to the standard greatest hits package such as No End In Sight: The Very Best of Foreigner, Feels Like the First Time is an ambitious collection that features Acoustique: The Classics Unplugged, Juke Box Heroes: Brand New Digital Recordings of Foreigner’s Greatest Hits and a live video concert album Live In Chicago. Singer Kelly Hansen does the impossible by filling original singer Lou Gramm’s shoes, while original guitarist Mick Jones ensures that the entire collection is uniformly solid. To be clear, these are not the original hit versions. But they are powerful modern recreations with all the advantages of the modern studio being put to use. The acoustic set includes a few surprises, including a take on the Elvis Presley hit “That’s All Right” and a previously unreleased tune in “The Flame Still Burns.” The electric collection includes the brand new “Save Me,” which was co-written by Mick Jones’ stepdaughter Samantha Ronson. The concert video is of impressive quality and features many of the songs that made the band a formidable unit back in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s.

Not 1978 Anymore! (5 stars)
Just like the sentimental ones who still wish Steve Perry was with Journey, I see it's no different with Foreigner, eh? Listen, I thought Lou Gramm was a god, too, but things took a turn for the worse and the band has moved on. Foreigner has been re-energized and will not stop for anyone. Keep up the good work, gents!

Foreigner just isn't Foreigner to me without Lou Gramm. Sorry boys.

Sounds like some of songs are too sped up sound to rushy ... could of been beter imo. The only highlights of this cd is Urgent

While quite a few arena rock acts of the '70s found the transformation into the '80s quite difficult, several acts continued to flourish and enjoyed some of their biggest commercial success: Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, and especially Foreigner. Foreigner's leader from the beginning has been British guitarist Mick Jones, who first broke into the music biz as a "hired gun" of sorts, appearing on recordings by George Harrison and Peter Frampton, and as part of a later-day version of hard rockers...
