Enema of the State – Blink-182View More By Blink-182 Our ReviewThis Southern California trio has virtually perfected a sub-genre of music (arena punk?) that sports goofy songs, teenage angst, and loud, catchy guitar riffs. They may not have the legendary aura of the Ramones, but they're arguably just as entertaining. Over the 12 tracks of Enema of the State, we get anthemic songs, hilarious lyrics, and a pop sensibility that helped this album sell millions of copies. Years after being overplayed on the radio, "What's My Name Again" is still infectious and silly. The rest of the album hardly slows down, 2i5h "Dysentery Gary" and "The Party Song" showcasing just how smart a bunch of dumb songs can be.. Customer Reviewsblink-182's AMAZING (5 stars)This is one of blink's best albums, its just full of awesome songs. Its starts off with 'Dumpweed, a great kick-off, with Tom Delonge lamenting "I need a girl that I can train." Next is 'Don't Leave Me', a song that you will find yourself quoting all the time, "Don't leave me, all alone. . ." its extremely catchy. 'Aliens Exist' is track number 3, which is about aliens, its pretty good, but not amazing, I just love it be A Definitive Classic. (5 stars) Blink-182 is one of those bands that people love to hate, mainly because they're poppy, and it is "uncool" to like pop. Many label their music bland or unoriginal because most of the time they get looped in with their own wanna-be bands like Good Charlotte or Sum 41. People lose sight of the fact, however, that Blink-182 started it all, and they started it all with this album. "Enema of the State" was the beginning of pop Enema of the State (5 stars) Maybe the best blink album ever. With the famous hits Whats my age again?, Adam's Song, and All the Small things this is a great album. But other that the hits, they have awesome songs such as Dumpweed, Don't Leave Me, and Going Away to College. Buy the album, its worth it.
