Dressed to Kill (Remastered) – KISSView More By KISS Our ReviewDisappointed that Kiss’s first two albums had failed to produce a chart hit, Casablanca label head Neil Bogart assumed the producer’s role for Dressed To Kill. Bogart gave the band’s sound a much-needed facelift: the production here is brighter and sharper, and the tempos faster — a contrast to the muddy rhythms of the first two albums. Paul Stanley’s “Room Service” is a whip-smart opener, while Gene Simmons’ “Ladies In Waiting” presents a tight, furious groove. Both songs revel in Kiss’s growing reputation as groupie hounds, and with Dressed To Kill the band’s reputation for offstage hedonism became as much a calling card as their trademark face paint. The album also contains some of Ace Frehley’s finest work. As a songwriter he contributed “Getaway” (featuring a Peter Criss vocal), and his solos never fail to create the flashpoint that sends songs like “Ladies In Waiting” and “Love Her All I Can” into overdrive. The grinding “She” became a favorite among metal diehards, but it was the closing track that captured the band’s essence. With “Rock and Roll All Nite,” Bogart didn’t just get his hit single; he got a rock anthem for the ages.. Customer ReviewsKiller KISS album! (5 stars)Dressed to Kill is one of KISS's best albums to date...and it's not for the obvious reason such as this being the first KISS album that the infamous rock anthem "Rock and Roll All Nite" appears on. Dressed To Kill gave America it's second national anthem with the song "Rock and Roll All Nite", which would be given new life with the ALIVE album that would be released months after. Excellent songs are found on this disc, such as "Getaway", "Anything For My Baby", and "Love Her All I Can" are awesome tunes that show the ba BiographyFormed: 1973 in New York, NYGenre: Rock Years Active: '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s, '10s Rooted in the campy theatrics of Alice Cooper and the sleazy hard rock of glam rockers the New York Dolls, Kiss became a favorite of American teenagers in the '70s. Most kids were infatuated with the look of Kiss, not their music. Decked out in outrageously flamboyant costumes and makeup, the band fashioned a captivating stage show featuring dry ice, smoke bombs, elaborate lighting, blood spitting, and fire breathing that captured the imaginations of thousands of kids. But Kiss' music shouldn't be...
