Destroyer (Remastered) – KISSView More By KISS Our ReviewFollowing up the multi-platinum success of Alive would be no cakewalk, but-figuring they had everyone's attention-Kiss pulled out a trump card for this one: a monster power ballad. Drummer Peter Criss's mild-mannered, romantic tune "Beth" was the perfect foil to the band's party-hearty bluster of Alive and it helped made Destroyer a worthy, if unexpected follow-up. Produced by Bob Ezrin, this album stands as Exhibit A for fans making the case that the leather-decked showmen were more than just goony thunder gods. Other key tracks: "Detroit Rock City," "Shout it Out Loud," "Do You Love Me?". Customer ReviewsGreat Album! (5 stars)This album is great. When I first got it I didnt listen to anything else for like a month. Everyone's heard Detroit Rock City, Shout It Out Loud is pretty much the sequel to Rock and Roll All Nite, and God of Thunder is basically Gene's theme song, even though Paul wrote it. Song for song it's one of the best albums I've ever heard, but the beginning of Detroit Rock City and Rock 'n Roll Party is just filler. With Bob Ezrin producing it does One of the best albums ever (5 stars) This is one of the best Rock 'n Roll albums ever released. It's an experimental album, done with Bob Ezrin, and it took KISS to another level. The first 3 songs are classics vefry well-enhaced by Ezrin's masterful studio work. "Great Expectations" is an orchestral masterpiece. "Flaming Youth" is a fan favorite. "Sweet Pain" is my least favorite but still pretty good. "Shout it Out Loud" is my favorite Its old Kiss rock, pumped up. (4 stars) Get this album. Its the same old kiss songs, but with alot more power behind it. Most kids were infatuated with the look of Kiss, not their music. Decked out in outrageously flamboyant costumes and makeup, the band fashioned a captivating stage show featuring dry ice, smoke bombs, elaborate lighting, blood spitting, and fire breathing that captured the imaginations of thousands of kids. But Kiss' music shouldn't be...
