Cowboy's Back In Town (Deluxe Edition) – Trace AdkinsView More By Trace Adkins Our ReviewOf course Trace Adkins is a country singer. With that voice, he has to be. The rich baritone was made to sing songs such as “Ala-Freakin-Bama,” “Hold My Beer” and “Whoop A Man’s A*s.” Adkins likes it rowdy and he enjoys being the man’s man. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t add a wink here and there to let you know he’s playing around. “Brown Chicken Brown Cow” is a funked-up number with the banjo meeting guitars, organ, lap steel, clavinet and drums. “Hell, I Can Do That” goofs around as the perfect sad-sack country number and “This Ain’t No Love Song” and “A Little Bit of Missin’ You” are Adkins’ attempts at a more reflective tone, while “Still Love You” and “Break Her Fall” are him getting all the way there. His mainstream country hooks and big-band sound lean as much towards hard rock as they do traditional country music. It’s a huge sound that few singers can hold together. With Adkins, no one has to worry. He’s a clutch player who comes to life in the bright lights. The Deluxe Edition includes a pretty tune about the road “Between the Rainbows and the Rain” and a touching piano ballad in “Pictures On Mantles.”. Customer Reviewsthis is country music (5 stars)I hate how people think all music has to be the same. GrayBGirl500 needs to learn that this is country music and you can't compare it to rap, rock, R&B or any other kind of music and just because we are from the south it doesnt mean we are stupid so I would look up to a country singer who sings about lfe instead of a dumb rap singer who only raps about drugs sex and violence "The Cowboy IS BACK in Town" Trace at his Best! (5 stars) What a terrific offering, by an outstanding performer. Trace has been one of my favorites since his first CD,{Dreaming Out Loud} with such great songs as "There's a Girl in Texas" and "Every Light in the House". He always manages to come up with really great songs for the albums, so that any one of them could be released as a single and do well. This Particular CD has got to be his best so far. It shows off that great Bar The cowboy is Definitely back in town! (5 stars) This up-tempo CD ranges from love songs between people, amongst family, and beer! Trace Adkins’ expressive vocals bring forth imagery that enhances the meaning behind the songs, and reveal his musical strengths and broad vocal range. The deluxe version is not to be missed, with powerful songs like “Happy Man” and “Pictures on Mantles.” One of my favorite songs is “Don’t Mind If I Don’t” with lyrics that reveal a burning des BiographyBorn: January 13, 1962 in Sarepta, LAGenre: Country Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s Trace Adkins helped keep country's traditionalist flame burning during the crossover-happy late '90s, mixing classic honky tonk with elements of gospel, blues, and rock & roll. Adkins was born in the small Louisiana town of Sarepta in 1962 and took up the guitar at an early age; he went on to study music at Louisiana Tech, where he also played football and worked on an offshore oil rig after graduating. His finger was severed in an accident while on the job, and once several years had passed,...
