Confessions On a Dance Floor – MadonnaView More By Madonna Our ReviewYes, you heard right – Madonna just said that she feels like a dork outside New York City. If anything, “I Love New York” and the rest of Confessions on a Dance Floor prove that you can put the grown-up club kid on an English country estate, but it might take surgical intervention to take the club kid out of the middle-aged mom. Co-produced by Madonna and Stuart Price, Confessions is the sound of a woman who’s still in touch with the bratty brashness of early gems like “Lucky Star” and “Dress You Up” – just listen to the crazy-for-you mooning of its first single, “Hung Up.” The album’s return to pulsing floor grooves displays a Madonna who’s able to have it both ways: “Sorry” demonstrates how little difference there can be between teen and adult romantic drama, while much of the album is a pop-happy celebration of love as its own form of spiritual awakening.. Customer ReviewsConfessions you wanna hear... (5 stars)First of all listen to this with good headphones on or good speakers and listen to it twice. :) First time I listened to it I was not impressed. Second time I loved it. Third time it's my favorite Madonna's album to date and my favorite dance album ever. This is great dance pop music. Simply entertaining and puts a smile on your face. Hardly a weak song. She has never been better. Buy this with confidence. Madonna Comes Full Circle (5 stars) As a fan who has followed Madonna since the beginning of her career, I feel like we've grown up together. It was the dancey grooves of her first album "Madonna" that first got me bouncing as a child, and now with "Confessions On a Dance Floor" she brings me back as an adult to where the love affair started. This album rocks start to finish - one rollicking bass line and synth after another. It's Madonna paying homage to Wow! Wasn't Expecting This... (5 stars) I thought I would be doing this review saying mediocre, it was pretty good, but NO! This is worth a 5-star rating and a number 1 on the iTunes charts. This is a great dance album and an overall great-sounding album. I highly recommend this to any Madonna fan or any dance music fan of any kind. BiographyBorn: August 16, 1958 in Bay City, MIGenre: Pop Years Active: '80s, '90s, '00s, '10s After stars reach a certain point, it's easy to forget what they became famous for and concentrate solely on their personas. Madonna is such a star. Madonna rocketed to stardom so quickly in 1984 that it obscured most of her musical virtues. Appreciating her music became even more difficult as the decade wore on, as discussing her lifestyle became more common than discussing her music. However, one of Madonna's greatest achievements is how she manipulated the media and the public...
