This album is a step forward in maturity for the band. You can expect more of the great guest vocalists like on albums past(ex: G. Love), and also more of the dance beats SS has been serving up since the Longest Barrel Ride, but you can also expect more smooth, acoustic guitar than usual. This is definitely a somewhat bluesy album, great for a Not exactly what i expected... (2 stars) Well my sister brought home the album and i was psyched. our house is of diehard stoopid fans. We pop in hte CD, listen to it once over, and well...we werent exactly amazed. sure, 2 am, Jimi, Nobody knows, and mind on your music are all pretty tight...but we feel that there were a lot of "filler" songs like Girl U So Fine and i guess you could say Baby I Like it. i was just a little disappointed i guess. My sister called up the ban Get infected with Chronchitis (3 stars) A must buy for any hardcore Stoopidhead, but not their best work. It doesn't hold a candle to "Closer to the Sun", so don't expect to be blown away. "Chronchitis" is alot more sax and trumpet heavy than previous releases with the addition of C Money and the DeLas to the Stoopid crew. Also, it seems that SS has completely phased punk rock out of its repetoire and focused solely on mellow reggae and hip-hop.
