Catch Bull at Four (5 stars)
This album is so much more interesting than Cat's earlier stuff. It's literate, lyrical, dark, deep, mystical, and still rocks (e.g. Freezing Steel). Hey, the guy sounds cool even in Latin, who else can you say that about. This is not past his peak, it IS his peak.

corporate misunderstandings (5 stars)
Catch Bull at Four is Mr.Stevens most brilliant album. Though obscure (to even some dedicated fans) the songs on Catch Bull beautifully illustrate a man struggling to free himself from the everpresent yo-yoing between the physical and the spiritual. Catch Bull at Four (5 stars)
Disagree with the ITunes review. I think "Catch Bull" and "Tea for the Tillerman" are Cat's finest works. Catch Bull at Four showed how Stevens had grown into a more sophisticated musician and songwriter. I still consider this one of the most provacative cd's I own as it displays a wide range of emotions in content and style. If you don't own it, buy it. It's a MUST HAVE if you are a Cat Stevens fan.

Cat Stevens, born Steven Demetre Georgiou, was the son of a Swedish mother and a Greek father who ran a restaurant in London. He became interested in folk music and rock & roll in his teens while attending Hammersmith College and in 1965 began performing under the name Steve Adams. Mike Hurst, a former member of the folk-pop group the Springfields, who had become a record producer, heard him and took him into a recording studio to cut his composition "I Love My Dog."
