Wow...simply Wow (5 stars)
I've been listening to this album since middleschool and it is without a doubt my favorate albulm in my collection. Its pretty much Carlos Santana doing what he does best which is taking traditional latin style music and mixing it with other styles, but this albulm takes a much bigger influence from Jazz. Explore A Deep Track Masterpiece Album (5 stars)
This album hit me in college in the late 70's. This is not a hits album. You put this album on in the background and just let it infuse your soul. For those of you who want to explore a completely different Santana sound, this is it. A perfect synthesis blend of jazz and latin sounds from end to end. You don't even have to flip the album these days. Enjoy!

A Masterpiece , Spiritual and Beautiful in so many ways (5 stars)
This is an album I originally did not relate well to when it came out but I have since re-discovered it and consider it a masterwork. Unbelievably powerful and spiritual. It blends rock and jazz beautifully. Powerful Santana guitar work blended with almost Middle Eastern percussion influences. Santana is the primary exponent of Latin-tinged rock, particularly due to its combination of Latin percussion (congas, timbales, etc.) with bandleader Carlos Santana's distinctive, high-pitched lead guitar playing.
