Blood On the Tracks – Bob DylanView More By Bob Dylan. Customer ReviewsThe Divorce Album (5 stars)This is one of two great divorce albums, the other being Willie Nelson's Phases and Stages. Although Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts seems a tad out of sync with the other songs, these expressions capture the wide range of emotions and thoughts everyone experiences during a separation. Simple Twist of Fate has absorbing imagery. Idiot Wiind is as angry as one can get while retaining a pensive quality. If You See Her, Say Hello is Blood on the Tracks (1974) (5 stars) This, surprisingly, is perhaps my most favorite dylan album. I love his 60's records, and no one will contest their unparalleled influence and sophistication. Still, I give this album highest marks for both its masterful lyricism and its unmatched musicality. For the pure emotion, the consistency of the songs, and its beauty, buy this album. I may just be a sucker for music written in response to tragedy, but this is a timeless classic. Blood on the Tracks is raw emotion on the artist's part. It is brilliantly crafted, and refelctive of a more mature vantage point on failed love. This album is not to be missed, no matter BiographyBorn: May 24, 1941 in Duluth, MNGenre: Rock Years Active: '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s, '10s Bob Dylan's influence on popular music is incalculable. As a vocalist, he broke down the notion that a singer must have a conventionally good voice in order to perform, thereby redefining the vocalist's role in popular music. As a musician, he sparked several genres of pop music, including electrified folk-rock and country-rock....
