American Saturday Night (Bonus Track Version) – Brad PaisleyView More By Brad Paisley Our ReviewThis album touches upon just about everything that Brad Paisley does especially well — comical narratives, beer-soaked party anthems, affirmations of everyday love, and plenty of fret-scorching guitar work. Paisley seems in a mellow mood as he follows an unfolding love affair (“Then”), embraces societal change (“Welcome to the Future”), and celebrates cultural diversity (the title track). Even heartache-tinged tunes like “Everybody’s Here” and “Oh Yeah, You’re Gone” seem more bemused than tormented. As before, he excels at tossing off crowd-rousing upbeat numbers like the frenetic “Catch All the Fish” and the slightly kinky “The Pants,” and he reaffirms his sharp eye for lyric detail and knack for wordplay in “Anything Like Me” (an expectant father’s confession) and “She’s Her Own Woman” (a toast to an independent-minded spouse). American Saturday Night is remarkable in its ability to balance old-fashioned country verities with a progressive outlook while mixing honky-tonk motifs with rock ‘n’ roll flourishes.. Customer ReviewsBuy the Album (5 stars)Paisley does it again, but its too early to tell if it's better than 5th Gear (my favorite album). I'm reviewing the songs as I download them from itunes, and I have to say I'm impressed so far. Overall, the album gets 10/10. If you like Paisley's other work, you'll like American Saturday Night. For those unintiated in the Country genre (or never heard or purchased a Paisley album) this is a good one to start with, Brad is a wonderful songwr Could be BEST yet! (5 stars) His Time Well Wasted Album was CMA/ACM album of the year and critically acclaimed as it should have been...but American Saturday night just might top it! I got my copy over the weekend before it was released to public and EVERY song is great! Brad has done it again with this album and his string of number one hits will not slow down with the selection of these songs....I suspect "welcome to the future" will be his next big one!!!!! A more mature Paisley (4 stars) Brad Paisley has largely built his career on uptempo songs with extended guitar solos and an injection of his tongue-in-cheek humor. You'll find very little of those on this album, which actually makes it one of Brad's best. There are some of those elements in "Water" (one of the best tracks on the album), "Catch All The Fish" (pretty mediocre) and "The Pants" (not bad). Most of the tracks are more mellow and i BiographyBorn: October 28, 1972 in Glen Dale, WVGenre: Country Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s Contemporary country singer/songwriter Brad Paisley was born October 28, 1972, in Glen Dale, West Virginia; given his first guitar at age eight, he delivered his first public performance at church two years later.
