While everybody else rocks out to screamo and Fall Out Boy, I'm listening to Kiss and Aerosmith. While my friends listen to My Chemical Romance, Boys like Girls, Plane White T's, I'm still listening to Led Zepplin, Hendrix, Beatles, Edgar Winter, Steve Miller Band, Blue Oyster Cult, and others. I'm the woman of the classics, along with todays artists that stay true to that unique flare of yesterday. My Dad's favorite album by Van Halen is 51

One of Van Halen's best albums. Best songs are Why Can't This Be Love, Love Walks In, and Dreams but just buy the whole thing!

With their 1978 eponymous debut, Van Halen simultaneously rewrote the rules of rock guitar and hard rock in general. Guitarist Eddie Van Halen redefined what electric guitar could do, developing a blindingly fast technique with a variety of self-taught two-handed tapping, hammer-ons, pull-offs, and effects that mimicked the sounds of machines and animals. It was wildly inventive and over the top, equaled only by vocalist David Lee Roth, who brought the role of a metal singer to near-performance art...
