This guy reminds me of KRS-One, because you know he is very talented and can be great, but doesn't reach it. With this guy (n wit KRS too) it's because the beats are so average. For example, "Go Ahead Den," is way too busy, "Quest for Fire," is boring and amatuerish. There are positives tho, "G Walkin'" stands out, and so does "Ol Time Killin." My personal favorite, "Gotta Get It," it's solid

Overall, the album does have a bunch of weaknesses which result in an overall sense of mediocrity. But on the other hand, there are some great tracks on this release. "Bakardi Slang" is a shout-out to Kardi's Toronto background with a sick beat and nice flow. "Ol Time Killin" and "Maxine" are some of Kardi's best tracks and are well worth a listen.
