Amazing. (5 stars)
Quite possibly the best live recording ever. As mentioned before, the mix is rough but that does not for one second take away from the power and tightness of the band and of the hardest working man in show biz himself. The mix might actually lend a more authentic feel to the album, as if one were sitting at the Olympia Theatre. The energy of this Paris concert remains unreal...James and his posse were UNSTOPPABLE at this point. The ferocity and ruthlessness of their sound is unmatched by any soul/r&b/funk ensemble before or since.
