The Temptations Most Underappreciated Classic (5 stars)
I think it is easy to dismiss The Temptations in a Mellow Mood as Berry Gordy’s attempt to attract a whiter audience to his Motown artists. Even if that was his intention the resulting album was a total thing of beauty when I heard it the first time back in the late 60s. The vocal standard ! (5 stars)
They are by far the best vocal group to ever grace the stage. I seen them as a child at the apollo theater and when i saw the album on itunes i had to have it. The put soul in standard b-way tunes like no one else. If you want to hear vocal excellence this is it!

Very Nice (5 stars)
This is a very touching album. "Try to Remember", where Eddie's oh so sweet falseto voice is greatly highlighted. Also check out "Ol' Man River", where Melvin's under the floor bass is clearly recognized. Finally "For Once in My Life", where you can hear Paul's amazing baritone voice & you can really feel his emotion in this beautiful piece.
