Legendary! (5 stars)
Ella had such a beautiful, soulful and original voice. When I hear her sing songs like "A Fine Romance" and "Angel Eyes" and "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered" I get goosebumps. She is such a legend and a joy to hear after all the artists we have today there is NO comparison. I loved it!

Ella Shines! (5 stars)
This is a really good compilation of Ella's great recordings. Another you might enjoy is "Pure Ella." Ella could swing like no one else! Her rhythm, note choices, and style are unparalleled. And of course, she always worked with fine musicians. You can't go wrong with Ella.

Blessed with a beautiful voice and a wide range, Fitzgerald could outswing anyone, was a brilliant scat singer, and had near-perfect elocution; one could always understand the words she sang. The one fault was that, since she always sounded so happy to be singing, Fitzgerald did not always dig below the surface of the lyrics she interpreted...
