Love (Bonus Track Version) – Boyz II MenView More By Boyz II Men Our ReviewAfter more than twenty years together, Boyz II Men have earned their stripes as R&B harmony legends. The group’s staying power is based on their constant focus on the music more than the gimmicks, and Love is testament to the group’s belief that an album’s power relies on the quality of the material, and the sincerity of the performance. You won’t find a more diverse collection of songs than this. The Boyz tackle everything from Bonnie Raitt (“I Can’t Make You Love Me”) to the Goo Goo Dolls (“Iris”) to Journey (“Open Arms”). They try their hardest to avoid soul music clichés, and instead illuminate the soulfulness of unexpected genres. Who knew that Lonestar’s country ballad “Amazed” would be a perfect fit for the group that wrote “Motownphilly?” In an era when R&B has become reliant on stunts and sex, it’s refreshing to hear an album built on storytelling and earnestness. In the end, however, Boyz II Men will always be about the voices, and an acapella rendition of Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” proves that when it comes down to it, nothing more is needed.. Customer ReviewsRefreshing talent (5 stars)What? No auto tune? No pitch bending? Actual talented singers with substance? Be still my dying heart. Its about time. Maybe these guys can rescue R&B from the bowels of hip hop and remind us all of why we loved R&B so much in the first place.... The definition of good music. (5 stars) Boyz II Men is incredible. With as much success as their last cover record of Motown hits did I'm not surprised they released yet another incredible album. Their harmony is a gift from God and I think Wanya has the best male vocals ever! I've loved them since day one and the only reason that they don't have hits on top 40 radio stations with new songs is because truly *GOOD* music doesn't get played on the radio anymore. I'm 24 and I can say They Have Done It Again (5 stars) Im sick and tired of everyone saying BIIM are making a comeback. They have not gone anywhere, and they keep putting out great music. Only the true fans know they have been over seas touring non-stop. In my opinion know one can ever touch there vocal abilities. They are the best at what they do, and continue to get better with each album. BIIM keep doing what your doing, you guys are the best. And I look forward to your 20th Anniversary Album BiographyFormed: 1988 in Philadelphia, PAGenre: R&B/Soul Years Active: '80s, '90s, '00s, '10s According to no less an authority than the RIAA, Boyz II Men are the most commercially successful R&B group of all time. They've sold ludicrous numbers of records and been involved in three of the longest-running number one pop singles in history, and they've done it as a unit of equals. In fact, their four-part harmonies blend so smoothly that most of the general public would be hard-pressed to name any of the group's individual members. And that's no reflection on their skill as singers; Boyz...
