pretty cool idea, but.. (3 stars)
if you take your ipod and pull the earbud cord about halfway out (so its still connected but not pushed in all the way), it does the same thing as this.
all you can hear is the music and not the singer's voice

it works for all owl city songs i think, and quite a few other ones too..

Well,
this is a good idea for parties and all,
because we all know that everyone loves themselves some Fireflies.
But I think it would be a better karaoke mix if it was just pure instrumental. I mean, I love Adam's voice, God knows I do. But if you're going to make a "karaoke mix" then you should just make it purely instrumental.
Although this is generally a pointless release, buy it anyway! Support Adam in any way

Owl City is the musical brainchild of Adam Young, who launched the project in 2007 while living at his parents' home in Owatonna, Minnesota. Troubled by insomnia, Young began spending his evenings in the household basement, where a computer and several instruments provided a diversion from his sleeping patterns.
